Whilst transfers may enable companies to manage their business affairs more effectively, they must be aware of how their actions affect their contracts with policyholders and potentially the rights of third parties.
Part VII of the Act requires firms to carry out a number of functions for The Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) and the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). Included within these guidelines are requirements to communicate with policyholders and affected third parties.
